WavEC Seminar 2023

Paving the Way for Large Scale Offshore Wind Deployment

WavEC Seminar 2023 took place on the 6th of December 2023, in Lisbon, Portugal. This seminar, organised in partnership with the Netherlands Embassy in Lisbon, provided an excellent opportunity to explore the latest developments in the offshore wind sector.

As Portugal gets ready for its inaugural offshore wind auction, there has never been a more critical time to delve into the country's readiness for such developments. Especially considering the release of the final report outlining the recommendations of the Portuguese Work Group for these auctions. It has also been an excellent moment to acknowledge the expertise of this year's host country, the Netherlands.

The event featured a diverse range of sessions designed to address key aspects of the offshore wind sector, including offshore wind policy, industry perspectives, port infrastructure development, risk mitigation, and the sustainable utilisation of marine resources.

Presentations and videos available soon on this webpage.
